Innis Maggiore Advances to National ADDY Awards

CANTON, Ohio (May 13, 2008) -- Innis Maggiore, a Canton-based advertising and public relations firm and the nation's leading agency in the practice of positioning, was honored with a Gold ADDY award at the recent regional ADDYS competition. The honor advances the agency to the national competition, which will be held on June 10, 2008 at the American Advertising Federation (AAF) National Conference in Atlanta. Innis Maggiore is the only Canton participant to receive a regional award.

Innis Maggiore won the regional Gold ADDY for a brochure created for Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods, a high-quality hardwood products manufacturer. "We are extremely proud to be the only Stark County agency to have won a regional Gold ADDY and look forward to representing our company and Ohio in the national competition," said Jeff Monter, vice president creative, Innis Maggiore. "It ís an honor to be recognized in such a prestigious competition."

The regional ADDY Awards competition is the second level of a three-tiered competition conducted annually by the AAF. The District Five regional ceremony recognizes the best in regional advertising from contestants in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. Participation in the regional event requires winning of a Gold ADDY at a local competition. Prior to advancing to the regional competition, Innis Maggiore won 14 gold and 11 silver ADDYs out of the 46 awarded at the 2008 Canton ADDY Awards. Innis Maggiore also won the Judges Award from the Canton Advertising Club. The Judges Award is a distinguished recognition reserved for two Gold ADDY winning pieces.

The ADDYs are the world's largest advertising competition, receiving more than 600,000 entries annually. They recognize outstanding work in print and collateral materials; broadcast, audiovisual and computer-generated communications; interactive media and mixed media campaigns.
