Innis Maggiore President and CEO Tapped For NorTech Board of Directors
CANTON, Ohio (July 13, 2007) - Dick Maggiore, president and chief executive officer of Innis Maggiore, has been named to the board of directors for NorTech, a technology-based economic development organization.
"It is a great honor to work with NorTech," Maggiore said. "Without organizations like NorTech, Ohio would not be able to attract the companies and jobs necessary to ensure its place in the competitive global economy of the future."
Maggiore (hi res image) is a noted speaker on strategic positioning. His work and commentary have been cited in two advertising textbooks. In 1998, the Canton Chapter of the American Advertising Federation named him Ad Person of the Year. He currently serves on the Child Welfare League of America National board of directors, Kent State University Board, the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce Board, American Association of Advertising Agencies Cleveland Council Board of Governors, Stark Development Board and the FirstMerit Bank Board.
Maggiore received the distinguished Community Salute Award from the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2003 and the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of Year Award in 2004.
Maggiore holds Bachelor of Arts and Science degrees from San Francisco State University and has taught advertising and public relations courses at Kent State University.
