Innis Maggiore Group Acquires HUB Communications, Strengthening Public Relations Capabilities

CANTON, Ohio (July 17, 2000) - Innis Maggiore Group Inc., a leading regional integrated communications firm, today announced that it has acquired HUB Communications and hired the Uniontown-based agency's sole proprietor, Linda Hubbard, as public relations account supervisor.

HUB Communications, established by Hubbard in 1992, served corporate clients in the Akron/Canton area with public relations, internal communications, marketing communications and training services. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

"This acquisition will strengthen our public relations capabilities while expanding our opportunities to serve new clients," said Dan Pecchia, vice president of public relations at Innis Maggiore. "HUB Communications has earned a favorable reputation in the Akron/Canton market, particularly for its expertise in internal communications. We're looking forward to introducing HUB's expertise to our clients."

Hubbard added, "New technology has sparked dramatic growth in the number of home-based businesses. Aligning with Innis Maggiore will enable me to enhance the quality and range of services I provide to my former HUB clients."

As account supervisor, Hubbard will manage public relations programs for a variety of Innis Maggiore clients. Prior to establishing HUB Communications, Hubbard worked in marketing communications at Diebold, Inc. She is a graduate of Kent State University's School of Journalism and Mass Communication and a resident of Uniontown. Innis Maggiore Group Inc., based in Canton, Ohio, is a regional integrated communications agency. The agency employs 27 people and reported 1999 capitalized billings of more than $12.5 million. Key clients include Republic Technologies International, Aultman Health Foundation, Oasis Floral Products, Square Two Golf, Schumacher Homes, Parker Hannifin, Rainbow Rentals, Akrochem Corp. and Alpha Security Products.
