Innis Maggiore Principal Jeff Monter Gets Show at Canton Museum of Art

CANTON, Ohio (Sept. 14, 2009) - Jeff Monter, principal creative services at advertising and public relations agency Innis Maggiore, will exhibit watercolor paintings and pencil drawings at the Canton Museum of Art beginning Sept. 22 and donate proceeds of a fund-raiser back to the museum.

The week-long exhibit will conclude Sept. 29 with a reception and Canton Advertising Federation social from 6 to 8 p.m.

The opportunity to exhibit is part of the gift from the 2008 Ad Person of the Year award Monter received in May. The Quiet by Nature theme of his paintings and drawings reflects his personality and soft-spoken nature.

During the reception, Monter will raffle one of his watercolors and donate the proceeds to the art museum's Educational Department. He conceived the idea as a way to provide support for arts education at the museum.

Monter's career has been based on creating memorable messages and executing overall advertising strategies. His work has earned numerous industry awards, including several "Best of Show" awards in the Canton Advertising Federation's Addy Awards, as well as national accolades. He also served on the board of trustees at the museum for seven years.

Prior to joining Innis Maggiore, Monter served as creative director at Communication Resources, Inc., and art director at Wern Rausch Locke Advertising. He studied at the Columbus College of Art & Design.

Monter's exhibit will be open to all Canton Museum of Art visitors. Tickets for the Canton Advertising Federation's Autumn Expressions social are $20 for non-members.
