CANTON, Ohio (June 14, 2024) — Innis Maggiore, the nation’s leading positioning ad agency, today announced Hailey Walters is the 2024 recipient of the Canton Advertising Federation (CAF) scholarship.

Walters recently graduated from Massillon Washington High School and will attend Malone University this fall as a member of the softball team. Melding her volunteerism at the local municipal court with her time on “The Massillonian” yearbook staff, she plans to study political science and digital design in hopes of becoming an attorney specializing in advertising law.

“We are really looking forward to Hailey joining our community of learners,” shared Greg Miller, president of Malone University. “Her commitment to excellence and dedication to community service exemplify the qualities found in Malone students. We are confident that she will thrive on our campus as a student leader.”

Created in honor of Dick Maggiore, Innis Maggiore chairman and CEO, the CAF scholarship assists children and young adults who wish to enrich their lives and pursue careers in creative expression. The endowment also seeks to establish higher standards in advertising by supporting programs and educational initiatives.

The selection committee, chaired by Maggiore, is comprised of past Canton Ad Federation presidents, Julie Mertes and Jolene Colant, director of marketing at Hall, Kistler & Company.

The CAF scholarship is administered through Stark Community Foundation (SCF), a trusted community partner focused on making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofits through flexible and effective charitable giving.

As an agency focused on the future, Innis Maggiore has always emphasized supporting Stark County youth. Its efforts have spanned from scholarships and guest lectures in local schools to developing its own internship program.

“By expanding available resources, we’re hoping to provide a greater opportunity for students to unlock their full potential,” said Mark Vandegrift, president of Innis Maggiore. “Initiatives like the CAF scholarship bring special attention to those who wish to pursue careers in creativity, and that’s a desire we love to embrace at the agency.”
