CANTON, Ohio (June 10, 2025) — Innis Maggiore, the nation’s leading positioning ad agency, today announced that two students — Chase Borland and Megan Robson — have started summer internships at the ad agency.
Borland will spend his internship in the project management department under the direction of Ashley Johnson, senior project manager. He will observe and assist in coordinating a complete spectrum of projects, from website deployments to print signage. Borland studies journalism and strategic communications with a minor in marketing at Ohio University.
“An internship at an ad agency will give me the unique experience of watching projects come together from start to finish,” said Borland. “I’m excited to immerse myself in life at a full-service marketing agency, where I can grow my skills through various tasks and objectives.”
Robson, a creative intern, reports to Emily Mays, associate creative director. Through projects focused on logo design and front-end integration, she will continue to strengthen her skillset as a multi-faceted graphic designer. Robson is a senior at the University of Akron studying graphic design. She was also selected as one of seven students to participate in design x nine, a class where students have the opportunity to create marketing assets for real-world clients.
“Spending the summer alongside professionals in the advertising and communication design industry will prepare me with practical working experience,” said Robson. “I plan to learn as much as possible through the guidance of team members during my internship at the ad agency.”
Innis Maggiore is committed to advancing career development for young students in and around Stark County.
“Learning outside a classroom is foundational in giving students the ability to apply their skills and interests,” said Mark Vandegrift, president of Innis Maggiore. “The internship program provides that invaluable experience where they can find their footing and polish their strengths in a professional setting.”
Innis Maggiore selects interns on a seasonal basis with spring, summer, and fall sessions. Interns can tailor their experiences from concentrations like communication design, media and digital marketing, public relations and copywriting, and web development, with flexible hours that accommodate class schedules.
