Innis Maggiore awards marketing scholarships to two Kent State University at Stark students
Innis Maggiore awarded Seth Bailey (l) and Taylor Minton (r) marketing scholarships.
CANTON, Ohio (March 24, 2026) – Innis Maggiore, the nation's leading positioning ad agency, announced two Kent State University at Stark students were awarded marketing scholarships through the 2025 Innis Maggiore Endowed Scholarship for Communications.
A Massillon resident, Seth Bailey earned his degree in communications studies and a minor in history in December 2025. He is an avid proponent of local journalism, which he demonstrates by operating his own local news site, TigerTownAthletics.com. The site, built and maintained by Bailey, covers historic and current Massillon athletics. He also volunteers as a committee member for the Paul Brown Museum, housed inside the Massillon Museum.
“This marketing scholarship has helped me in more ways than I can say,” he said. “It has allowed me to keep my focus on my passion for local sports journalism, a path I hope to continue pursuing throughout my life.”
Taylor Minton, a Uniontown resident, will graduate this spring with a degree in communications studies. While navigating her academic journey, she focused her studies in communications to combine her interest in fostering human connection with her future profession.
“What drew me to communications was the invitation for personal relationships and organic connections,” Minton said. “Often, my classes challenged me to broaden my horizons and articulate my thoughts in a way that fostered a deeper degree of understanding with audiences.”
Bailey and Minton each received a marketing scholarship of $1,750 to invest in their education and career development.
“As a proud community member, it’s always an honor to support local education, especially in marketing and advertising,” said Mark Vandegrift, president and CEO of Innis Maggiore. “This marketing scholarship eases financial burdens in a way that helps students take full advantage of their education as they prepare for the next step in their careers.”
The Innis Maggiore Endowed Scholarship for Communications supports students at Kent State University at Stark who reside in Stark County and are pursuing careers in marketing and communications. Applicants are eligible for the marketing scholarship on an annual basis and must major in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or advertising, as well as demonstrate financial need.
