Canton-Area Residents Invited to Participate In Online Super Bowl Advertising Survey, Win Prizes
CANTON, Ohio (January 10, 2001) -- Canton-area residents are invited to participate in an online opinion poll about Super Bowl commercials in exchange for a chance at valuable prizes.
Innis Maggiore Group, an integrated communications firm based in Canton, is conducting its second annual Super Bowl Advertising Survey at www.cantonresearch.com. The online poll aims to tell the rest of America what football fans in Canton, Ohio birthplace of professional football and home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame think about the year's most costly TV ads.
"Super Bowl ads generate all sorts of polls and commentary, but our research conveys the opinions of 'real' footballs fans those who live in the cradle of pro football," said Dick Maggiore, president and CEO of Innis Maggiore. "We had considerable interest in our survey results last year and are hoping to generate more this year."
Anyone who completes the survey after the Super Bowl on Sunday, January 28 will be entered in a drawing for one of these 23 prizes:
- Gift certificates of $150, $100 and $50 at any Fishers Foods or Fishers Optical location in Stark County.
- 10 free auto-service discount cards from Waikem Auto Group.
- 10 free pizzas from Kraus' Pizza. Co-sponsoring the survey with Innis Maggiore are Fishers Foods, operator of local supermarkets and optical centers; Kraus' Pizza, a locally owned and operated pizza franchise; and Waikem Auto Group, the region's largest auto dealer with 15 dealerships, all in the Massillon area.
The survey is open to any resident of Stark and Summit counties (except employees of Innis Maggiore and their immediate families) and can be taken anytime up to an hour after the Super Bowl. Those who sign up in advance at www.cantonresearch.com will get a reminder email and a link to the site.
The online survey form will list all commercials that ran during the Super Bowl, and will ask users to rate their five best and five worst commercials. Results of the survey will be released on Monday, January 29, the day after the game, and posted on the www.cantonresearch.com site.
The game will be televised beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday, January 28, on CBS-TV. Hometeam 19 WOIO in Cleveland is the local CBS affiliate. Advertisers including General Motors, Anheuser-Busch Cos., PepsiCo Inc., FedEx Corp., E*Trade and Monster.com are lining up to pay, on average, $2.4 million for a 30-second spot to air in this year's game, up from $2.2 million last year.
